Position: PG • Height: 6’2″ • Weight: 180 lbs
College: Duke/Baylor
Pro Status: 2025 NBA Draft Prospect / Summer League Invite Watch

Background Check

Jeremy Roach came into Duke as a 5-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American out of Leesburg, VA. He led the transition from Coach K to Coach Scheyer as a multi-year Captain. Roach brought something every coach needs: leadership, clutch decision-making, and experience running the show under bright lights.

What Makes Him Different

Roach is a floor general in the purest sense. He’s the guy who gets you into your sets, calms a young squad down, and takes the shot when it matters. Think late-game buckets in March Madness? That’s Roach time. He plays bigger than his frame, defends with pride, and knows how to get teammates involved.

He’s not going to win the combine type-tests, but he might win a rotation spot—because in a league full of athletic upside, Roach offers something rare: trust.

What Teams Will Get with Jeremy

  • Pro-ready poise: 150+ college games under his belt Jeremy Roach College Stats | College Basketball at Sports-Reference.com
  • Clutch gene: Big shots in ACC and NCAA Tournament play
  • Strong pick-and-roll decision-maker: Keeps turnovers low and maneuvers to opposite high elbow pull-up like Chris Paul (probably his most effective move)
  • Defensive IQ: Understands team defense, fights through screens, good communicator

End of the Bench Fit

He’s the kind of player who may start in the G-League but end up eventually running your second or third unit. He can develop into a steady presence off the bench who knows how to win and doesn’t need 20 shots to impact the game.

If you’re building a roster with real culture, you want Jeremy Roach in your locker room.

Must Watch Moment

2022 NCAA Tournament vs. Michigan State – Roach hits a cold-blooded 3 to seal the win and keep Coach K’s final run alive. Ice in the veins.

Final Word

Roach had a workout with the Sacramento Kings this week. It is his first known invite. I would expect he gets a few more looks as teams evaluate players to fill out summer league rosters. Overall, his feel for the game is ahead of most prospects. He understands pace, timing, and when to defer or attack. He’s been coached hard by one of the best (Coach K) and then handed the keys by Coach Scheyer. That versatility and coachability are rare. In a league where 3rd-string PGs often need to run the offense for 6 minutes without disaster, Roach is built for that.
